More than two decades after the end of the GDR, you can still find many historical sights in Berlin. Experience a journey back in time to the East German past, in true style in a GDR vintage car, the legendary minibus Barkas, called "Erich", to mysterious places of memory.
During this tour, you will try the popular currywurst of the curry sausage snack bar "Ziervogel's" in the cultural district of Prenzlauer Berg. The city tour will focus on historic Berlin with Alexanderplatz, the Nikolai Quarter, Unter den Linden, the Brandenburg Gate and Government Quarter, among others. You will also see the last GDR command post (border watchtower) on the Berlin Wall. One of the highlights of this tour is a walk through the historic Invalidenfriedhof (border cemetery), there are not only graves of great personalities like Manfred von Richthofen "The Red Baron" and Gerhard von Scharnhorst, a great Prussian military reformer, but also remains of the original Berlin Wall. The famous Bernauer Strasse with original border strip, escape tunnel and watchtower must not be missed, of course.
